Entomology division, BARI has an international standard accredited “Pesticide Analytical Laboratory (ISO 17025)”. Through this lab the division is regularly monitoring and analyzing pesticide residues in marketed vegetables, fruits, dry fishes etc. and also in different exportable items and issuing residue certificates. Moreover, pesticide analytical method development, determining pre harvest interval (PHI), developing decontamination techniques, purity testing of different marketed brands of pesticides etc. are also the important areas of research accomplished from this lab
